As well as being available in compiz on xgl, the famous wobbly windows effect is now working in metacity on aiglx (probably has been for a while, and I was behind with versions)
It’s a bit slow on my laptop, but then it was already a bit slow anyway.
What will be really cool is when compiz runs on aiglx so then instead of various debates about which is the best approach folks can just try metacity and compiz for themselves and may the best window and compositing manager win. I understand the xorg developers such as Kristian Høgsberg are performing the magic to make this work.
I wonder whats going on in the world of KDE with compositing. Presumably compiz works there but are the kde folks adding compositing to their standard window manager?
